Lewis Fairbank spent eleven years inside large professional services firms before founding Hilt Core Vault in 2018. He trained as a management accountant, then moved into operational strategy, where he spent four years restructuring mid-market businesses that had grown faster than their internal systems could handle. The recurring problem he kept finding was not strategy. It was disconnection: decisions made in one part of a business that nobody in another part had been told about. That pattern is what Hilt Core Vault was built to address. Lewis reads technical standards for pleasure and keeps a whiteboard in his kitchen for mapping process flows on weekends.
